NET Health offers TISD immunization clinics

TYLER (TYLER ISD) - The Northeast Texas Public Health District will set up immunization clinics at Tyler ISD middle school campuses.

For pre-school and sixth grade students, immunization requirements change as they move into kindergarten or seventh grade. For high school seniors, state law requires that first time college students receive a vaccination for bacterial meningitis. This vaccination needs to have been administered within the past five years and at least 10 days before the first day of college classes.

Students who have CHIP, Medicaid or private insurance that do not cover immunizations are eligible to attend these clinics. The cost is $8.00 per vaccine, and a parent or guardian must accompany the student. The parent or guardian should bring a copy of the student's immunization record.

In addition to the clinics listed above, the Northeast Texas Public Health District is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and each Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for immunizations. No appointment is required.
