Elderly couple found dead in Bossier City home

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTBS) - Two people have been found dead inside a home in Bossier City.

Authorities responded to the home in the 2400 block of Belmont around 10a.m. Monday after a relative stopped at the residence.

Bossier City spokesperson Mark Natale says that an elderly couple lived in the home. Their names were released late Monday as Margaret Mitchell, 84, and Roy Mitchell, 86, who were unresponsive inside the residence. Investigators say both had sustained gunshot wounds.

Investigators found signs of trauma but no signs of forced entry. 

The investigation continues.
