Entertainment News: Debbie Reynolds to be honored

(CNN)- The legendary Debbie Reynolds will take home the "SAG Life Achievement Award" in January.  The actress is being honored by the Screen Actors Guild for her vast career and her humanitarian accomplishments.  Reynolds starred in countless movies including "Singin' in the Rain" opposite Gene Kelly and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" which earned her an Oscar nod.  She also starred in two television series and on broadway.

(CNN)- The long-time voice of "Saturday Night Live" has fallen silent.  The New York Times reports Don Pardo died Monday at his home in Arizona.  He was 96.  Pardo was best known for announcing the performers at the open of nearly every episode of SNL, from the premiere in 1975 until just last year.  Viewers also heard his voice in the early years of game shows "The Price is Right" and "Jeopardy!"


(CNN)- Gloria Estefan and husband Emilio Estefan's new musical "Get On Your Feet" hits broadway in the fall of 2015.  Open casting calls will be in New York City and Miami this September.  The show will be based on Gloria's life from Cuba to Miami to super-stardom.  The show will of course feature the seven-time Grammy winner's smash hits!
