(CNN) - Arkansas authorities found the body of country music star Mindy McCready dead of an apparent suicide. Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call Sunday afternoon of gunshots fired at her home in Heber Springs. When officers arrived, they found her body on the front porch. The troubled singer struggled with addiction and mental illness. She burst onto the music scene in 1996 with her debut album "10,000 Angels" and the hit "Guys Do It All The Time". McCready leaves behind two young boys, one of them ten months old. Mindy McCready was 37 years old.
(CNN) - Actor, Forest Whitaker was falsely accused of shoplifting at a Manhattan deli Friday. TMZ first reported the incident. Witnesses said the actor was frisked in front of other customers, but the search turned up nothing. His publicist called it "upsetting" and "inappropriate," saying Whitaker did nothing more than walk into the deli. She said he did not alert authorities over the incident because the deli employee feared for his job.
(CNN) - Action and comedy beat romance at the movies on Valentine's Day weekend. "A Good Day To Die Hard" topped the box office, with $25 million dollars in ticket sales. The film is the fifth installment in the "Die Hard" franchise. "Identity Thief," starring Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman, came in second, pulling in $23.4 million dollars. And "Safe Haven," based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks, rounded out the top three, with $21.4 million dollars in ticket sales.
