(KYTX) - East Texas refrigeration gave more than 400 brand new blankets this morning - as part of the second annual "Gift of Warmth" project.
All of the blankets go to people in need at the Salvation Army's center of hope.
Major ben Lawrence says the donations will be greatly in demand as soon as these warm temperatures disappear.
"Wait a few days and it'll definitely be back to the cold and nippy temperatures outside. So it meets a need of warmth and comfort for those who find themselves on these cold winter nights," says Major Ben Lawrence with Salvation Army.
East Texas Refrigeration received the public's help and surpassed its original goal of 200 new blankets.
Every 15 dollars given online or at ETR's office bought 1 blanket.
