SULPHUR SPRINGS (KYTX) - The Texas Rangers are investigating a Sulphur Springs High School Resource Officer for allegations of indecency with a child.
According to myssnews.com, 30-year-old William Nathan Gaddis, of Sulphur Springs was arrested by Texas Rangers Friday on two counts of indecency with a child who was less than 17 years old by sexual contact.
Sulphur Springs ISD confirms Gaddis was a resource officer at the school, but the alleged incident did not occur on the campus, and was not school related.
The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation because Gaddis was also a reserve officer for the Sulphur Springs Police Department. He is no longer employed as an officer following his arrest.
Gaddis was released from the Hopkins County Jail after posting bonds totaling $50,000.
