TYLER (KYTX) - The big game is over, but people are still celebrating.
And it doesn't have to be for any one team.
Local businesses are pretty happy about the Super Bowl too.
Places like Sports Zone say big sporting events fill their business.
Football season may be coming to an end, but there are still plenty of people here fueling the East Texas economy.
Stocking up for the big game at Sports Zone in Tyler means having all the drinks and food on hand Super Bowl fans will need.
"I'm really a Dallas fan, but always liked San Francisco and I live there and work there and also live here," says Mike Pulifoy.
Pulifoy says he loves this particular downtown business for more than the fast service at the bar.
"Good place to go, everybody knows everybody. Kind of like Cheers," says Pulifoy.
Fans, football, food, and who wouldn't want to have 10 TVs to watch the game?
"Every angle, even in the bathroom," says Adam Morris, the owner of Sports Zone.
Morris says he's got his patrons covered.
And he's taking the increase in people coming in to watch to the bank.
"The more people who come in, the more the merrier. Especially in this economy. It's very good for business owners," says Morris.
He's even offering a few different menu items because he knows he's got to add something new into the old favorites when he's got a crowd twice it's normal size.
"On any day, I bet it double, maybe triple. It depends on what team actually places that day. It usually doubles and I'm grateful for it," says Morris.
He's grateful for the crowd chanting, even if the lights go out in the game.
And Mike's grateful for a familiar place to catch the action.
"Good comradery," says Pulifoy.
We spoke with Tyler Ranch who said they had more than 100 people reserve spots, and of course Buffalo Wild Wings said the crowd was huge before the game even started.
