Ex-husband charged in Longview double homicide

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A Gregg County grand jury has indicted 31-year-old Joshua O'Steven Reese of capital murder in the Oct. 10 double homicide of his ex-wife, La Toya Nicole Reese, and her 11-year-old daughter, Mya Rosetta Nichol Sebron.

Reese has been in the Gregg County Jail since Oct. 12 on $100,000 bond for an unrelated burglary charge. He has now been booked on capital murder, and his bond was increased to $1.6 million.

Reese was indicted Thursday. Longview attorney John Moore was appointed as Reese's lead defense attorney, and Gregg County Assistant District Attorney Stacey Brownlee is listed as the prosecutor, according to the county's website.
