Father, son, indicted on multiple charges after March standoff in Tyler

A Smith County grand jury has returned indictments on a father and son that were involved in a police standoff in March.

Mario Arroyo, 56, was arrested March 1 after a four-hour standoff with Tyler Police stemming from an aggravated robbery warrant. Arroyo's son, 25-year-old Noe Esau Arroyo, was arrested on a parole violation

Suspect in Tyler Police standoff in custody on ICE Detainer

Mario Arroyo has been indicted on one count of driving while intoxicated and two counts of aggravated robbery. He remains in jail on bonds totaling $400,000.

Noe Esau Arroy has been indicted on two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by felon. He remains in jail on bonds totaling $500,000.
