Fire units respond to two-alarm fire in North Tyler

TYLER (KYTX) - Firefighters are responding to a two-alarm structure fire located at West Cochran and North Ross Streets in Tyler.

A passerby spotted flames and smoke coming from the structure.

Authorities say an occupant of the house was cooking when the fire broke out. The home is a total loss, and no injuries were reported.

Five engines and one Ladder Company, along with a District Chief and an Investigator are on the scene. 

Investigators with the Tyler Fire Marshal's Office are also en route and will be conducting the investigation after firefighters have gained control of the fire.  No injuries have been reported at this time.  Additional information will be released when it becomes available.
