First-ever Henderson Airshow Comes to Town

HENDERSON (KYTX) - The Rusk County Airport will host its first-ever airshow on Saturday. Today, pilots from Austin, Dallas, and East Texas came together to do a few test runs before the show. The Fly-in and Air Show will be World War II themed and will honor local veterans. Stu McCardy is the lead pilot during formation flights scheduled for tomorrow, he says he enjoys the reactions of the crowd.

"I've spent 30 years in the Air Force , and when I retired I wasn't quite ready to hang up my suit. So I had an airplane already, and I started to train others to fly formatiion." - Stu McCardy, Pilot

The airshow begins Saturday at noon, and admission is free.
