Five killed in Georgia plane crash

THOMSON, GA (CBS) - A jet carrying seven people crashed Wednesday in East Georgia, killing at least five people on board.

FAA officials say the Hawker Beechcraft 390 jet landed at about 8:30 PM at Thomson-McDuffie Regional Airport in Thomson, near Augusta. It then ran off the end of the runway and crashed. Authorities say the flight had departed from Nashville.

Investigators have not yet identified the victims. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
