Friday morning meth bust

(KYTX) - Two different traffic stops conducted early Friday morning have resulted in the seizure of over 17 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Fm 225 shortly after 1 am Friday morning. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was very nervous. Deputies observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle that was in plain view. Deputies conducted a search of the motor vehicle and found 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine and two small bags of marijuana.

Colt Dustin Tinney 29 years of age from Nacogdoches, Texas was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. Tinney was charged with Possession of a controlled substance a State Jail felony.

Shortly after 5:00 am Deputies were attempting to locate a wanted fugitive on Mckewen Drive. Deputies observed a vehicle matching the description of what the suspect was known to drive. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the driver was identified. The driver was identified as Justin Ferguson who was wanted for a delivery of a controlled substance warrant that had been previously filed by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office. Ferguson was taken into custody without incident.

Deputies obtained consent to search the motor vehicle that Ferguson was driving. Inside the vehicle deputies located several baggies of Crystal methamphetamine. Deputies also obtained consent to search a residence where Justin Ferguson is living at. Deputies located additional crystal methamphetamine, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia inside of Ferguson bedroom.  A total of 16.4 grams of methamphetamine was seized.

Justin Ferguson 27 years of age was arrested for the warrant and also charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance a 1st felony and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
