EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Good morning and happy TGIF!
High pressure over the Mississippi River Valley yesterday will build slowly back overhead today squelching our rain chances through the weekend. Highs yesterday reached 98. We can expect another carbon copy today through Sunday. August-like temperatures are expected to continue Monday/Tuesday of next week with a slight cool down by the middle-latter part of next week as a weak cool front arrives Wednesday/Thursday. Rain chances also improve ahead of this system next Wednesday/Thursday. Expect highs this weekend to range between 97-99 degrees with overnight lows in the mid-upper 70's.
Have a great weekend!
