Gaylon Bradley's Family Says He Needed Help

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - 6 days ago, the body of Gaylon Bradley was found in this creek.
Justice of the Peace Talyna Carlson has released early autopsy results, which revealed that there were no visible injuries to Bradley's body.
His sister Erika Nelson says he lost his vision when he was 20. His family says he didn't lead a perfect life but they still want answers.
"It was hard for him to accept it and he got really  depressed. He really just lost himself, and he wasn't the same anymore."
The family says drugs and alcohol became a burden after his sight was gone.
"He tried to shield it with everything else. You could tell deep down that it really hurt him a lot."
Loss of vision is hereditary in this family, a condition that hit Bradley's Aunt Debra Releford too.
"I'm blind myself. He trusted a lot of people to see for him. His money, his debit card, and a lot of other things."
What exactly happened to Bradley is still unknown,  but the family thinks drugs and alcohol played a role. They are wanting others in a similar situation to get help.
'If you find yourself or a loved one with a disability you can come here to your local Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services. They can help with being blind, deaf, physical and mental disabilities. But if you are already headed down a road with drugs and alcohol -- you can come here, to the East Texas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse -- IT can help with counseling and therapy to get you back into a normal life." - Kevin Boyce
And it's all for free.
This family says it wants others to get the help they need.
"If you hang around people that do drugs, people like to say you gone get what you get. It ain't like that, you're a human being"
