Gilmer capital murder defendant wants bond reduced

GILMER (KYTX) - A Gilmer man in jail for killing a woman outside a Gilmer football game this fall wants his bail amount reduced.

Jonathan Shepherd is in the Upshur County Jail on one million dollars, charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 29-year-old cheyenne green.

According to our newspaper partners, The Tyler Morning Telegraph, Shepherd's attorneys want his bond reduced lower than $300,000.

Judge Lauren Parish has scheduled a hearing in her court on January 7th at 1:30 that afternoon.
