GLADEWATER (KYTX) - Gladewater Chamber of Commerce is open for business with a brighter showroom.
Chamber board members opened the doors to an open house Tuesday night. More than 70 people stopped by to check out the new hardwood floors, added lighting and artwork depicting the city's oil and rodeo heritage.
Board director Lana Niemann says the four-month renovation also shows off an economic and cultural resurgence in the city.
"We've had more community to come together than I've ever seen, and it's been some in the past," Niemann said. "Our city, our organizations, our churches, our entire community has come together to make Gladewater the place that it needs to be."
Niemann says, if you want to check out changes at the chamber and Gladewater Economic Development Corporation, just stop by their offices on North Main Street.
