GLADEWATER (KYTX) - Reba Hicks has given her life to care for special needs children at the Truman Center in Gladewater. Reba was recently diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time something she says she couldn't get over emotionally.
'It's really tough on the mind, just continuously questioning."
The people of Gladewater got word of Reba's illness and they came running to her aid. Reba says it has encouraged her to keep fighting.
"I just decided it was time to stop questioning, and listen to what God wants me to do"
" Saturday Friends, Family, and other reba supporters gathered here to lace up their shoes, and run 5 Kilometers for Reba." - Kevin Boyce
Event Coordinator Danielle Colby says this woman means so much to the community, and she deserves its support.
"We knew she needed support, and all the Truman employees got together and thought of ideas, and made it happen"
