Good Shepherd welcomes new chief nursing officer

Good Shepherd Health System proudly welcomes Patti Bennett, RN, BSN, MS, as its new Chief Nursing Officer, serving the Medical Centers in Longview and Marshall.

Bennett has significant executive management and administrative experience in non-profit, for-profit and academic health systems. Prior to joining Good Shepherd, she served as the Chief Nursing Officer at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Washington, from 2012 to 2014, and at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center in Houston, from 2000 to 2012.

"I am pleased to be part of the team at Good Shepherd," said Bennett. "We are focused on providing the highest quality care and experience to our patients, having great employee and physician relationships and serving the community."

Bennett draws from a broad-based range of disciplines, with demonstrated accomplishments in strategic planning, leadership development and service-oriented leadership. She was recognized in 2012 with the Tenet Clinical Innovation Award and was a recipient the Tenet Circle of Excellence Award six straight years (2005-2011).

As native Texans, Bennett, her husband, Mark, and their two sons, are happy to be back in Longview with their family. They enjoy living in the country and being active in the community.
