LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - Authorities are working several traffic wrecks on at least three major Gregg County roads.

According to Sheriff Maxey Cerliano, Gregg County sheriff's deputies have cleared traffic on Texas 31 between Longview and Kilgore, after a series of wrecks forced authorities to shut down the roadway. Cerliano said deputies and Texas Department of Public Safety troopers are also working wrecks that have occurred on Interstate 20 near Kilgore.

It is not known if anyone was injured or transported to an area hospital at this time.

Longview Police Department spokesman Kristie Brian said officers worked at least three wrecks in South Longview in the past hour.
