(CBS) - Fifty years after the highly effective measles vaccine was approved, the virus is still killing more than 400 children a day worldwide. Health officials at the CDC say people infected overseas are sparking outbreaks with unvaccinated people in the U.S., including infants. In 2013, at least 175 cases of measles were reported in the U.S., that's almost 3 times the year before.
(CBS) - Eating healthy comes with a hefty price tag. Harvard University researchers analyzed 27 studies from 10 high income countries. They found diets rich in fruits, vegetables, fish and nuts cost about $1.50 a day more than the least healthy ones. That adds up to about $550 a year per person, which experts say can put a significant burden on some families.
