Health Alert: New study on treating alcohol dependency

(CBS) - Researchers in Germany found using medication together with therapy works best when treating alcohol dependency.

The study found patients willing to attend psychotherapy sessions after drug therapy were less likely to fall off the wagon.

Doctors say motivation is the key to any treatment plan. 

 

 


 

 


(CBS) - A new study shows encouraging results for women who want a natural child birth after having a C-section.

Researchers in London studied data from almost 150,000 women who had a C-section.

About half attempted natural birth for their 2nd child and  almost two thirds were successful.  

Doctors say women who have uncomplicated C-sections are the best candidates for natural child birth.



(CBS) - Taking an aspirin in the morning and not at night might reduce your risk of heart attack even more.

Doctors say people are more likely to suffer a heart attack in the morning.

Aspirin thins the blood, making it less likely to clot.
