Tyler American Cancer Society recruits for Cancer Prevention Study

TYLER (KYTX) -  The American Cancer Society's Cancer Prevention Study-3 is seeking 200 more participants before the two week deadline enrollment.

The study is being conducted at 4 host sites in Tyler.

TYLER (KYTX) - The American Cancer Society and Tyler area hospitals are recruiting for a nationwide Cancer Prevention Study.

Recruiters are inviting people 30 to 65-years-old who have never personally been diagnosed with cancer to join. The goal is to enroll at least 300,000 adults from different racial and ethnic backgrounds to participate.

The Cancer Prevention Study is a grassroots effort to join communities together to help support cancer research. The purpose is to better understand the factors that can cause or prevent cancer and ultimately find a cure.

The American Cancer Society is partnering with East Texas Medical Center, Trinity Mother Frances, University of Texas Health, and Tyler Junior College.

Registration is October 1st through 4th.
