Henderson Beats Bullard for 3rd Place in District 16-3A

The Henderson Lions beat the Bullard Panthers to grab a hold of third place in the "District of Doom," following Kilgore and Gilmer.

Head coach Dickey Meeks and his team got down to business in Week 8 of the season to control their own playoff destiny. As of now, they're in with a 3-1 record in District 16-3A play but there's still two more regular season games to be played.

Signal caller Patrick "Monsta" Brown proved to be a monster on the ground against the Panthers. He racked up 22 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns, both of them in the second quarter.

Since moving Brown to the quarterback position a few weeks ago, Coach Meeks is impressed with what he's seen from his former wide receiver.

Henderson will face the perfect Kilgore Bulldogs this Friday. The lions have beaten the Bulldogs the last three seasons.
