(KYTX) - We know how much Tyler benefits from hosting the Brookshire's Firefighter Combat Challenge.
It seems to get more popular every year and this year the event drew a huge turnout.
The Chamber says more than 2,000 came out to support these men and women who displayed some of the skills they use to put out fires and save lives.
The total is $110,000. Much of the money was generated by out of town competitors sand visitors who booked more than 200 hotel rooms and spent money in local businesses.
The good news is that it is coming back next year.
