TYLER (KYTX) - Teachers at John Tyler are helping parents learn English.
The program is now in full swing. The adult students are divided into three levels: beginning, intermediate and advanced, depending on how much English they already know. Some don't speak the language at all.
They meet for their classes at 6:30 on Mondays and Thursdays. Four teachers and even one high school student help these adults learn the language.
She says learning English will allow these parents to help their children in school, and be a part of their education.
