Keystone XL Pipeline protesters arrested in Cherokee County

At least 10 Keystone XL Pipeline protesters are arrested this afternoon in Cherokee County.

The protest group sat in trees and chained themselves to equipment in an area east of Alto - where construction is underway to lay the pipeline.

The group has been in opposition since talks of the pipeline began four years ago - and say they must go against the law to have their voices heard.

One of the women who sat in a tree and is now behind bars is a student at SFA.

The protesters come from around the country, but most of them are from Texas.
