Kilgore man indicted in brother's fatal stabbing

LONGVIEW/GREGG COUNTY (KYTX) - A Gregg County grand jury has indicted a Kilgore man for murder in the June 24 stabbing death of his brother.

Jeffrey Allen Miller, 28, is in the Gregg County Jail on $584,000 bond, charged with murder, forgery, fraud and criminal trespass. Investigators say he stabbed his brother, 27-year-old Jeremy Miller, after a quarrel in the 600 block of McQueen Road in Gregg County.

Grand jurors also indicted 57-year-old Darrell Gene Pointer, of Longview, for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child. Both charges stem from a March 1 offense, according to records from the Gregg County District Attorney's Office. He's accused of touching a child he babysat after he locked her into a bedroom and showed her pornography, according to an arrest warrant filed in Gregg County's 307th District Court.
