Kilgore Pastor accused of sexually assaulting child bonds out of jail

RUSK CO. (KYTX) - An East Texas pastor, who was indicted by a grand jury for aggravated sexual assault of a child, bonds out of the Rusk County Jail.

Sgt. David Roberts says Glenn Douglas Barton was released on $50,000 dollar bond after turning himself in to the Rusk County jail.

As we first reported back in March, the Rev. Barton was with Calvary Way Pentecostal Church in Kilgore when the allegations were made.

According to a search warrant filed in the Rusk County District Clerk's Office, Barton is accused of performing oral sex on the victim since 2009, when the victim was about 13-years-old.

The male victim said Barton became increasingly jealous after the victim began a relationship with a girl, according to the warrant.

Investigators also obtained a search warrant for a pair of boxer briefs believed to contain DNA evidence related to the case.
