UPDATE: EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - A surface low pressure system over southeast Missouri is keeping a tight pressure gradient across East Texas, so the winds have remained strong with gusts to 25 mph. The gradient will relax by late afternoon as the low moves eastward allowing winds to decrease tonight.
Another high pressure area will move into the state Wednesday keeping cool air in place and increasing winds to 10 to 15 mph with 25 mph gusts. No rain is expected through the weekend and into next week.
High temperatures will be in the 50s through Saturday and climb into the 60s Sunday through Tuesday. Lows will remain in the 30s through the weekend.

A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. today with wind gusts of 25-30 mph. This is in the wake of yesterday's storm system that dumped 19 inches of snow on Amarillo. Right now, Oncor is reporting about 300 power outages -- most of those are in Nacogdoches County. Clouds will give way to sunshine this afternoon with highs in the mid-50's.
Mostly clear and chilly tonight with lows dropping to 34. Dry weather will continue through this upcoming weekend.
