Lakeport man stabs four people at South Longview bar

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Police say a Lakeport man stabbed at least four people early this morning at a South Longview bar.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Longview police were called to a stabbing report The Barr, in the 3100 block of Estes Parkway. When officers arrived, they were told a Hispanic man with long hair wearing a yellow shirt had stabbed multiple people. A short time later, police noticed 44-year-old Daniel Vega-Hernandez walk out of the bar, wearing a yellow shirt, and he was covered in blood. Officers say he was detained because he had three outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Vega-Hernandez then told officers "that he got into a fight at The Barr and pulled a knife and stabbed four Hispanic males," according to the affidavit.

Four victims described Vega-Hernandez to police as the man who stabbed them. The conditions of the victims are not known at this time.

Vega-Hernandez is in the Gregg County Jail on $100,000 bond, charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
