Lawsuit against Wood County Commissioners' use of "In God We Trust" dismissed

WOOD COUNTY (KYTX) - A judge dismissed the lawsuit against Wood County Commissioners in the use of "In God We Trust" and prayer today.

The Judge granted motion for summary judgement which was by default because the plaintiff, Charles Scott, did not show up for court.

Charles Scott says he is a Christian and his petition for suit that was filed with the Wood County district clerk claimed the county's four commissioners and county judge are misrepresenting and disparaging God.

Scott said anyone who would swear--with the help of God--to uphold a constitution that separates church and state and then put God back at the center of it all by invoking him publicly is a fraud.
