Local Homeless Shelters, Ready for the Low Temps


The Longview Salvation Army says it can see a 30 percent increase during times of a extreme conditions.  To compensate for the added people The Salvation Army Major Ernest Lozano says that communication between other shelters in the area is key, because no one belongs out in the cold.

"Because we certainly don't want anyone getting caught outside tonight. And we don't want anyone in a life threatening situation." - Ernest Lozano

The Salvation Army says that if it's shelter overflows, the overflow will be sent to other shelters in the area.
