Local Tyler hair salon donates free hair styles to local teens

(KYTX) - Teens who attend Wednesday night Bible Study at The Salvation Army Tyler had the chance to get spruced up for the start of a new school year.

Seven stylists from Curl Up & Dye, a local hair salon, volunteered their time and services by giving free washes, cuts, and curls to 13 local teens.

"It meant so much to our teens and their parents to have these services donated. Every dollar, minute, or talent donated is greatly appreciated and we are so thankful to be a part of the Tyler community, who seeks to serve in whatever way possible," says Mayor Doris Lawerence, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army Tyler.
