Amber Alert for two girls cancelled, both found safe, suspect detained

Jailhouse interview: Amber Alert suspect speaks to 12 News.

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Amber Alert  for Jazmyn and Chandra Campbell has been canceled.

They have been found safe and the suspect is now in custody, according to Tempe Police Department.

On Saturday morning, around 8:54 a.m. the girls were found inside a property near McClintock and Broadway in Tempe.

Police say David Lee Fuller abducted the 8 and 3-year-old girls from a Tempe Circle K Friday night.

The abduction happened at about 10:15 p.m. near a Circle K at 507 W Broadway Rd in Tempe.

Police say Fuller was in a stolen 2006 black Chrysler Sebring with Idaho plate K547524, driving eastbound on Broadway Rd. It was believed that he could have been driving to Las Cruces, New Mexico or Miami, Florida.

Before the abduction, Fuller was in an argument with the mother of the girls, before he knowingly left with Jazmyn and Chandra, police say.

Fuller is Jazmyn's biological father but he has not had regular contact with her. He has no relation to Chandra.

The 37-year-old man is facing kidnapping charges pending the investigation.

Both girls were not harmed and are now with their mother.
