Man who robbed Tyler taxi cab driver at gunpoint arrested in Louisiana

Authorities arrest Aggravated Robbery suspect in Louisiana who robbed a Tyler taxi driver in October.
 
On Wednesday, November 30, the U.S. Marshal Service arrested Johnnie Michael Cole Jr., in Caddo Parish, Louisiana on an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery that occurred in Tyler on October 2, 2016. His bond was set at $300,000.
 
Cole was one of three suspects that robbed a taxi driver at gun point at Front and Beckham Street.
 
Investigators are still looking into the identity of the two other suspects who are involved.

On Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 4:17 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the intersection of E. Front Street and S. Beckham in reference to an aggravated robbery of a cab driver.
 
The driver who is employed by Tyler Cab told police that he was robbed at gun point by three black male suspects.  One suspect had got into the cab to give the other two suspects a chance to approach the driver and ordered him out of the vehicle at gun point.
 
The suspects stole the driver’s wallet and cash, then fled on foot.
 
Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
