Chapel Hill parents worried about bullying

CHAPEL HILL - Some parents in Chapel Hill claim their children are being bullied. Allegations include inappropriate touching and verbal abuse.

Parents tell CBS19 they've reached out to the district, and filed grievances, but nothing has been done.

Tenisha McGregor said her son is contemplating suicide.

"I found text messages on his phone, where he said he didn't want to live anymore. He said no one at the school likes him," she said.

In September, two students took their own lives because of bullying. One in Tyler,16-year-old Dylan Alvarado, and one in Bullard, 14-year old Dalton Bigham.

"I'm a very concerned parent. I want to know about these allegations, because this could put my child at danger at the school," said Camethia Mumphrey, who has filed multiple grievances regarding her son being bullied.

CBS19 reached out to the district for comment on bullying allegations, but they never responded.

The district has an anonymous tip line for parents to report bullying.
