Dallas fugitive deported to U.S. from Mexico

Faustino Lara Valdez, a man on the FBI Dallas list of Most Wanted Fugitives, is back in the United States after being deported Thursday evening from Mexico for a murder charge.

Valdez now faces a state murder charge for being allegedly involved with the death of his ex-girlfriend, Marisol Espinosa, a 34-year-old Dallas native and mother of three children.

Law enforcement has confirmed that Espinosa was last seen alive on December 29, 2015. About two months later, on March 6, 2016, her body was found underneath a bridge in Southeast Dallas.

According to efforts made in an investigation, Valdez is the main suspect in Espinosa's murder.

Shortly after he was interviewed by investigators, Valdez, a United States citizen, fled the country to Mexico.

Valdez was found and taken into custody yesterday after The FBI Dallas Violent Crimes Task Force assisted in locating and arresting him under a federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
