Downed power lines and other damage from the storms in East Texas

Downed power lines and other storm damage in Cherokee county

CHEROKEE CO., TX - Severe weather tore across East Texas Tuesday evening causing flash flooding along with downed trees and power lines.

Cherokee county saw significant damage.

Multiple power lines and trees went down along FM 752 and FM 23.

US 84 was shut down for a few hours due to flooding and car accidents but re-opened just before 10 p.m.

Wightman Ln in the city of Rusk had parts of the asphalt come up. This is due to water getting underneath the road, causing it to break a part.

Partial flooding occurred at CR 1302 near the intersection of CR 1303. The road is still passable for vehicles but be careful going around the curve.

There is also significant flooding on Bagley road. It covers driveways and porches, but did not seem to reach inside anyone's home.
