LONGVIEW - The kicks are flying high as the American Society of Karate celebrates their 100th tournament.
Chief Instructor Robert LaMont started these tournaments in 1991, since then he has taught karate to more than 14,000 people.
"I teach discipline, build confidence and self esteem.” LaMont said. “These kids are learning life lessons that will shape who they are in the future.”
Kids and adults of all levels fought at the tournament. The black belts also gave a show for the audience.
