FLINT, TX - Two East Texas sisters are grieving after losing eight family members in the deadly South Texas church shooting.
Holly Maddox Elliott and Jennifer Dooley remember all the good times they are left with, many of which involve water balloon fights and other games they would play as a family.
Now, they are receiving constant updates on what is happening from family members and by watching the news.
The sisters worry their family will only be remembered by this shooting.
"If you look on her Facebook page you can see all the people - what she's done for them that are now thanking her. That's what her (Karla) legacy should be. Not remembered by the shooting but by what she did when she was here on earth." Dooley said.
When the investigation is complete, they are hoping to reunite with their surviving family members in South Texas and honor the legacy of those who have passed.
