#ETXResponds Blog: Journey to help Hurricane Matthew victims

CBS19's Michael Aaron is following ETX volunteers helping #HurricaneMatthew victims in South Carolina.

DAY 3:

After a quick breakfast, the group is off to put their tools and skills to work.

Today, Michael is with them checking out the extensive damage #HurricaneMatthew left behind.

Along the way, he caught up with one woman who received the unexpected, but grateful help she needed after the storm.

As the day came to a close, exhaustion began to set in, but so much more work is still left to be done.

DAY 2:

The travelers stopped overnight in Meridian, Mississippi before continuing their journey Tuesday morning. They made it to Walterboro, SC around 7 p.m., and will begin setting up their operation on Wednesday.

DAY 1:

CBS19's Michael Aaron is heading to South Carolina with a crew of four from Flint Baptist Church-- volunteers with Southern Baptists of Texas Convention Disaster Relief. Check here or follow Micheal on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
