Grave dug up in Nacogdoches Co. cemetery, police investigating

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY - Police are looking for the person or persons responsible for digging up a grave in a local cemetery in Nacogdoches on Oct. 26.

The crime was noticed by Nacogdoches police officers. It is not known if anything was taken from the grave at the Lower Chireno Cemetery, but according to the press release the grave was "definitely disturbed."

Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person(s) responsible. Anyone with information may call CRIMESTOPPERS at 936-560-INFO (4636) or send a secure tip on the web.

The Texas Rangers and The Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office are assisting in the investigation. All information is kept confidential and you will never be asked your name.
