A little way of saying thank you.
"Military, first responders, ambulance, firemen, show your badge, bring in your whole family for free," said Gregg County fair manager Billy Clay.
Service men and women along with their families will get into the Gregg County Fair in Longview for free.
"We just think it is just a way to pay back for what they gave," Clay said.
With over 78,000 visitors last year, Billy Clay hopes to break another attendance record this year.
The Gregg County Fair is a boost for the local economy, raking in over $100,000 from ticket sales.
Local business owners and traders benefit too. Everything from food to handbags are for sale. Something for everybody.
"We have pig races, the petting zoo, a beauty pageant on Thursday. We open up at 6 P.M. tonight and run 9 days," Clay said.
The Gregg County fair runs through next Saturday. For a link to the fair website, click here.
