HALLSVILLE - The City of Hallsville is hosting their 40th annual Western Days this weekend. This morning the Western Days parade went down Highway 80.
People lined the streets, ready to see the Hallsville High School Band and catch candy being thrown from floats.
Local baseball teams, middle school band, Hallsville Fire and Police departments and churches also paraded down the street.
Many people in the crowd tell us, Western Days is what makes Hallsville great. People from across the community coming together to celebrate the town.
"Western Days shows people the many great things about Hallsville," Reagan Kelley says. "We have so many talented students and pride for our city."
The parade also featured the Miss Hallsville contestants. This year 30 young ladies will compete for the crown and a $500 scholarship.
After the parade, local bands performed at Hallsville City Park.
