Kilgore college student arrested on sex-trafficking charges

KILGORE - U.S. Marshals, assisted by Kilgore College police, arrested a Kilgore College student Monday on sex-trafficking charges.

According to a federal indictment returned in the Southern District of Texas in Galveston, 18-year-old Malik Antione Brown is charged with one count each of sex-trafficking, and one count of conspiracy to commit sex-trafficking.

Brown is one of four defendants named in the indictment. Officials say Brown and three others forced several minor girls to engage in commercial sex acts.

Brown was arrested at Bennie Hall, a private dormitory off the Kilgore College campus..

Kilgore College spokesperson Chris Craddock stated KC police have no evidence that the student participated in any illegal activity at the college.
