KYTX's ‘19now' begins airing 6:30 p.m. weekdays on Monday

TYLER - We are debuting a new news show on Monday called 19now!

This show will air weekdays at 6:30 p.m., immediately following its regular newscast. Bryan Boes will be the host.

The new show will be a platform for reporters to go deeper in the news topics of the day.

"Beginning Monday night at 6:30, our viewers will get something unique to our market,” said Libby Shaw, the show’s producer. “‘19now’ will be the only local news at 6:30 p.m. We will go deeper than just the headlines. We will cover what matters in our communities.

“We'll be talking about what you’re talking about,” she continued.

Boes said the show will create new opportunities to present more local news.

“I’m excited to have more local news, more of the stories you love on social media and more opportunities for the viewer to get involved.”

Shaw said viewers will have an opportunity to be part of the show.

“Our digital producer, Gabriela Garcia, will keep the conversation going online during the show,” Shaw said.

Shaw said the audience can expect “19now” to “spotlight the people, places and things that make East Texas proud.
