LONGVIEW - Some of the best chili in East Texas is being served at the Lake Cherokee Preservation Club Chili Fest.
Organizers tell us 11 teams battled it out for best chili.
"This is the biggest year for the festival with 11 teams and more than 200 people coming out to the event." Club President Jane Wolven says.
Guests tried out samples of each team's chili then made their pick. This is the six annual chili fest and largest chili for the organization.
Several teams had special recipes to try to win votes. The money raised for this event goes a long way toward preserving Lake Cherokee.
