Lindale PD on watch after local mailboxes ransacked

LINDALE - The Lindale Police Department is requesting a neighborhood watch in their community after several mailboxes across the city were gone through, leaving mail thrown on the ground.

Officers say this kind of situation is usually caused by individuals looking for checks left in mailboxes, however, they encourage all Lindalites to make sure they are checking their mailboxes daily.

They are also advising individuals not to place outgoing checks in the mail, and if you absolutely have to mail a check, take it to the Post Office to do so.

Lindale Police Officers would also like to ask if any homeowners in the area have cameras that point to their mailboxes to please contact them if any footage exists that shows those responsible for these occurrences.
