Longview City Council appoints City Manager replacement

Longview has a new city manager set to start Dec. 30th.

LONGVIEW - Longview City Council has appointed Assistant City Manager Keith Bonds as the next City Manager.

Current City Manager David Willard is retiring on December 29th. He will be leaving the city with 10 years of service.

Willard says he plans to spend more time with his grandchildren and travel.

He recommended bonds for the position and knows the city is in good hands.

Bonds will serve as active City Manager on December 30th, overseeing more than 800 city employees.
